The piece, up close.
Hand-blown and hand-carved on the island of Murano by Wave Murano Glass, the furnace of maestro Roberto Beltrami. The Ondine's surface is cut in a fine battuto honeycomb — thousands of small facets that hold the light and let a warm amber core melt down into clear crystal. No two are identical; the hand that carves each vase makes every piece one of one.
